Troubles Champêtres

Led by Katia Rocha and Étienne Tribu, Troubles Champêtres, based in Rochebaudin in the South of France , in Drôme, was created in 2019. The company's creations are based on artistic research combining drama , circus and dancing. Troubles Champêtres' specificity is to bring these artistic forms together to lead the audience through a poetic and committed journey.

Troubles Champêtres’ goal is not only to entertain but also to express their doubts and to tackle global as well as political issues. Throughout their performances , they show the way to regain hope and to open up new perspectives for the future.

Committed forms as well as, clownish, absurd and even burlesque codes contribute to lightening the message without stripping it of its meaning.

The company is a humanist advocate of living well together, tolerance, empathy and poetry...

Troubles champêtres aims to be the voice of political living art in the broadest sense. It is a pretext for bringing all audiences together to tackle the issues and the joys of our society. The artists perform in public spaces to reach those who live far away from cultural centers. The company's identity is that of a world without borders, where everyone is invited to come and see their shows.

Together, and without prejudices ,we can try to face our beliefs, our ethics, our actions and our dreams.
